so i went to longview on friday. they kids had antique pictures from sam's and i was gonna look at some luggage. well the luggage was yucky and the pics were great- i get them back on the 4th. i am rather excited. i will then get a sam's membership. i should not have to rely on my mother-in-law for such things. and then we went to the mall. Caitlin wanted to look at a few things- well, she decided to get her makeup done and it was taking FOREVER!!!!!! so laura and i were wondering around.... and i decided to get jerra's ears pierced. that is right- so i did! and it went rather well. yes she did cry. but as soon as that sucker was in her mouth- she was fine. and she loves to show them off. i like them :) someone asked me if i felt bad altering my daughters looks like that, and i said no because they can grow back..... i dunno- i don't think it is bad. i was gonna wait till she was old enough to ask.... but she ask about mine all the time and she tries to wear mine- so.... that counts. cuz i say. sorry daddy.
claysen has been sooooo sad. his nose and eyes have been so..... watery? that is what his nose was lookin like and his eyes were watery. it was so sad. but they are recovering. i wonder if it is allergies. how sad would that be? he is such a pleasant little boy. i love that he loves me! i can look at him and hold out my arms and say CLAYSEN!!!! and he will come running! it is great! and then he will snuggle for a minute and then go play. but he is climbing on everything!!!! yikes! all chairs are away from tables, railings, counters, and desks. it is soooo crazy. jerra has never been the climbing type. i like the non-climbing. it is so much easier.
one of my greatest friends, Jamie Herbert had her baby on the 22nd at 4pm. A little boy that weighed 8lbs 14 oz and was 20 in long. i don't know a name yet.... so yeah. but. i am so happy for her.
well, i am trying to have a very productful day- and this.... is not how i be productful.

My Kids
so i just re-read my blogs. yikes i sound so pessimistic sometimes. no wonder no one ever reads my blogs. oh well.
i thought i would just write a little about my kids- for posterity sake.... ;) and because i love the little twerps. :)
Jerra. she is such a strong willed, independent, sensitive, thoughtful, sweet & beautiful girl. She is always trying to look after claysen and make him have fun. it is so cute to watch her put all her toys in bed, read them the scriptures say prays with them and tuck them all in. she has such a big heart. since she is just now starting to talk- we must repeat everything that she says. or she will get louder and louder and louder until we say something. it's rather endearing. and she loves shoes! :) *sigh* her mothers daughter. but hats are great and pretty dresses- wow.
Claysen. he is soooooo stinkin lovable. but he is so serious about virtually everything it is cute. new food, movies, toys, books, puzzles. everything you name it he is serious while doing it. if it is a single person event. when you play with him. his grin is so big you wish you didn't have to make dinner. and when he is done playing- he gives the best hugs in the whole world. i love it. but he is sooooo pleasant. and he is definitely my boy. :)
cute thing- we were at a fireside last thursday (the 5th). and we were standing singing a song. and claysen was in my arms and i had my arm around jerra- joe was at home working on the house. and they were just singing as loud as they could! then, part way through the song, jerra put her little arm around me, looked up at me and smile and sang even louder. it was soooooo cute. she is such an angel.
claysen has watched her throw tantrums. he will now cry and gently lay down. and grunt while doing it and they fake cry when he is down. then jerra pounces on him and tries to tickle him cuz "cla sa " is how it comes out- then he really is mad. it's sweet. but he has started to bark. so now when he sees lady he barks at her. they are sooooo precious and amazing. i am so blessed and happy. :) the only thing that would make it better is for my house to be finished. :) but that will happen- i just need to remember to have patients. but we are blessed and ohso happy.

So i have started to wonder if it is really worth all the stress of getting things to be perfect for holiday traditions. Then i see the excitement and joy on the little angels' faces and i think that it is all worth it. but i always wonder if there is anyway to get it back to the basics.... ya know more simple..... and maybe more meaningful. i dunno- the state park has an easter egg hunt and these moms were getting like 20 for their 1 year old. we got a total of 7 eggs- jerra got 4 and claysen got 3. they were happy but it was kinda sad to see all these other kids with 20..... oh well- they were happy. so that is all that matters.
WE WENT TO THE CIRCUS!!!! It was so great! the kids liked it. especially when the dogs and horses did their tricks. But i have to say it all great. But- I RODE AN ELEPHANT!!!!! that is right a real life elephant. jerra and i were up on that sucker riding it like a couple of cow girls! :) it was sooooooooo fun. and jerra rode a pony also. claysen was really to little enjoy it. so we will do it all again next year. i think that if i could have one wish- i might wish that we could have a photographer follow us around and take pictures. when needed. ya know cause we then could have pictures all together, not in just 2's or 3's. i think that would be great.
so claysen was up a good portion of the night. i think he had an upset tummy. it makes it hard. i am sleepy. but i have still have been able to get a few things done. that feels good. my room is clean. :) i love that feeling.
oh so my vacuum broke a few weeks ago. and we got our new one recently. and it is great! we had just one of those little ones, for light vacuuming- and now we got a real one. i love it. it works soooooo well. i love it. will i alway get this much joy from appliances? i still love my washer and dryer....
i have a closet and pantry floor now. yeah! now joseph is working on the master suite area. he is tired of sharing a room with claysen. it is kinda nice to hear claysen grunt mom and dad in the mornings, but not at 6:30.... oi. i feel bad though- joseph will be making really good progress and he will b
