The Bite

so saturday the 24th, we were planning a fun fall slash halloween day.  joseph was going to get some house stuff done, and jerra and i had to go help with my friend Michealla's wedding prep (i am the maid of honor).  well, all was going well that morning, all the kids were fed and playing upstairs while i cleaned a bit, and suddenly monkey was crying intensly (i had been collecting laundry...).  i go out, and he is drooling a MASSIVE amountn of blood.  and it kinda freaked me out.  i hollared loudly for joe, he came, took the monkey to get ice, and i proceeded to hydrogen proxide my carpet to get the blood out.  well upon futher investigation it was discover that he was playing with the leap frog learning table that we have, he was standing and trying to dance.  well- he's not quite stable enough to stand and dance, so he fell, his chin hit while his tongue was sticking out.

yeah the big red jagged line on your right side, that is the cut.  from his new teeth.  there is also a smaller one on the left also, but its not nearly as bad.  his diet consisted of ice chips.  it was so sad!  so he was really understandably pathetic for the rest of the day, and then the kids were very tired and really sensitive, so we didnt think it too wise to go do anything that we planned.  it was sad.  monkey is much better now though.  you can hardly tell that he was hurt!  =D  he does get drool pooled up in the cut area, and then it does come flooding out- gross i know.
anyway, there is monkeys first traumatic experience.  oh and all the red on the bib- that is blood, we waited till after he really stopped bleeding before changing him, that wasy we didnt ruin to many clothes ya know?

oh that is so sad! I don't think I would handle a situation like that very well. I am a bit squeemish with that much blood. Glad he is feeling better.

Poor kid! Those teeth are dangerous! At least he didn't bite through his lip. I still have the scar--inside and outside.
