what has REALLY been going on (part 1)

lets start with a bit of this:

(notice the wet sidewalks- up it was sprinkling, so we did some monday night too....)

and this is my SUPERMAN, he is sooooooo stinkin good to me!

see chunks happiness here, that is an understatement of his excitement!!  it was so adorable!

the flash at night was a bit much for their tired little eyeballs.  heehee  this was taken just about the time our neighbor came out to tell at us cuz it was too close to 10 pm for their liking.  next year- we will just invite them.  =P

i went with my dearest friend here Lynn and her darling daughter Bailey to pick blackberries for joey.  they are soooo delicious.  that one in her hand- was a small one.....

then it was my manly mans birthday. 

  we took him to the china cafe restaurant for his birthday lunch.....

and here is monkey with his daddys hat- he LOVES hats!

and then me and my jellybean!  isnt she just gorgeous?!?!

here is poor z sideways- i couldnt get it to switch to clockwise.... sorry.

anyway- for joes birthday, i planned it well.  i have to say i am so proud of this gift.  it is a charcoal slash gas grill.  do you see his happy face?  he LOVES it!  and i LOVE that he loves it so much!

then he wanted blackberry cobbler.  and i have to say, i have spent 3 years of our marriage perfecting this cobbler recipe to his liking.  it was hot out of the oven when i put the candles in, and well- i was smart in doing that (note sarcasm) cuz the candles melted from the bottom up.  haha oh well.  and that is a good friend of ours Ashley, she and her hubby Ghent are great friends of ours that lived in longview, but then moved.......  =''''''(   (note the buckets of tears that are falling from when they moved...)

and here is how i felt afterwards.  super happy.  i think that chunk took this picture actually.  not bad skills for a 4 year old!
