Family

So its done. we did it. thanksgiving was great. i was more absent then usual because of the mad dash of trying to get the house ready for company. 7 people to be exact- not to mention all the work that that literaly had to be finished. i did my part, it wasnt too bad- buying pillows, sheets, plannign menus and buying the food, getting the towels and soaps and such. it was rather easy compared to josephs job. but he did it. we had so much help from those from church i cried. they were so great- the Liesures, Brother Cannon, the Willan Family, the YM and YW, and the Saunders. it was so great. we are so blest to be here and have people so willing to help and those that are able to help. we have had more people helping, that was just those who help this last time.
jerr and claysen were troopers- really i felt bad at how neglected they were, which they really werent, they had people there to play with them and everything, but it wasnt me and selfish i have to say it wasnt good enough. it was good- just not good enough for me. sad day. but they definately survived. i think it was good ya know?
i feel tired.
tired of work.
tired of people that need something.
tired of trying to live up to people expectations.
why do i try so hard. am i lacking else where that i feel like i must live up to what others think? was i a good enough host? was i patient enough with my guests kids? was i a good enough cook? were they warm? were they disgusted with my house? was it clean enough for them? does it really matter? are those really my problems? am i too hard on my self? is that kinda healthy? is that what makes me strive to be better? do i want to be better after this or am i just discouraged? i think i need to name the good things.
everyone loved my frog-eyed salad- jacob even asked if it really had frog eyes in it :) , the apple pies turned out great! i got my stove and other appliances, people slept well, they were impressed with the house progress, my children were very well behaved, we saved a puppy, no one is sick, i can use my stove, we had just us family time, we had mabey family time, joseph relaxed. it was all good, but i am glad it is over. glad it happened and glad its over.
jerra is well- claysen is well and well we are great.
now begins the caotic time of life. i have jerras birthday, christmas decorating, finish shopping, christmas, and disneyland- all this before the end of the year.... something like 38 days- and still doing all the usual things. good luck me! i think that before anything of that planning happens i am going to take a huge long hot bath. hmmmm that sounds great!
until then!
