I say if you have a small budget just go and do something you have never done before no matter what it is. Go to a playhouse you have never been to, go bowling if you've never gone, go do something cheap but yet that you have never done just to be different and then stay home for dinner and eat after the kids go to bed and have a big yummy texas steak dinner and then make a fancy fancy dessert you've never had before and do the cheesy candelight dinner, fancy music, and chocolate covered strawberries. Its fun to just try something new and be funny about it. That is way exciting for you to go to peru. That would be awesome!!
one year for matt I made a list of 100 things i love about him. Typed them all up (one per line, ex: "i love...."), matted on cardstock and tied with raffi ribbon. He really really liked it and it was free! plus its fun to have to come up with that many things. you get pretty creative!
One of our best dates on a VERY tight budget during the good ol' Wyview days was checking out a massage book at the library, buying some massage oil, checking out a good book on tape, and massaging/listening/talking in the candlelight (while the kids were sleeping). It sounds all serious and romantic, and it was, but we kept laughing because it was so fun! :)
Yay that you get to go to Peru...that is awesome!!!
