December was a good month. It started out busy and then calmed down. It was nice how we had the 'holiday hustle and bustle', but then we had the opportunity to really enjoy each others company and be calm.
One night as I was decorating the tree, Tiger decided it was the best place to sleep was under the tree. He was quite put out when there were presents under there therefore he couldn't sleep there.
I had made this nativity for Laura's birthday- I loved it and made one for me to!
Monkey seems to believe that the bottom drawer of the dishwasher is a train. It's probably the most adorable thing ever to watch him pretend it's a train and listen to his choo-chooing. I loved listening to it as I was baking in the kitchen.
For Chunk's kindergarten class I was the room mother. For the Chirstmas party I had make some cookies. They were 'Melted Snowmen Cookies'!!! They were soooooo adorable!! The kids and grown-ups thought that they were hilarious!
How funny is that though? Yummy too!
So, for the ward Christmas party, when Santa came to see us, it was awesome to see all the kids so excited. Our poor little family had such a horrible cough and such a runny snotty nose. It was kind of pitiful- but their excitement totally over came all gross feelings. =) Z was strangely not terrified of Santa. All the others were petrified of him at that age. But our little blue eyes there is so different!
Chunk had no problem telling Santa he wanted an iPad. Such high hopes for such a little guy!!
Monkey wanted nothing to do with our jolly old friend. See how Z is so sad? His hopes were dashed to bits when we wouldn't let him keep going back up for more bears and candy canes! That dark one there in Joseph's arms, that is called 'santa bear'. He loves it- and sleeps with it.
She was so nervous to talk with him. She was so concerned that Santa would think that she wasn't good enough. He assured her that he thought she was super good, but she needed to keep it up. It was really sweet. Look at the joy on her face. So priceless!
We also we able to decorate a gingerbread house for the first time. Lynn was able to come and make one too. It was so fun! I never realized how much work really went into it. It was always made to look so easy! Jellybean decorated one side, here is her side!
He is Chunks side. They thought it was so fun! I really can't wait for next year when we can do it again!
One morning, the camera was on the table, and as Z-man was chowing down, I was able to snap a few pictures of him eating. How is that not the most happy thing ever! How sweet is he?
So since poor Z was so congested and miserable. So he would notice that every night and every nap time we would rub the vapor rub on him, and he loved it. He kind of became like a junkie. It was really cute watching him get all excited for us to rub it on him, so he could breathe. That and the lotion he started carrying around in August. He sleeps with it, bathes with it, and plays with it. Weirdly adorable, and when we started using the vapor rub, that became best friends with the lotion. Silly little baby!
While we were baking Monkey decided he needed to wear the Santa apron, Santa hat and Joseph's work boots. How cute is that? Then they all had to take turns.

As tradition dictates, here are our personilized sugar cookies for Santa. Starting at the nine o'clock position is Monkey's, Jellybean, Daddy, Z, Chunk, and the bell is mine. We sure hope Santa thought they were declicious!
Here we are Christmas morning. How cute are they? With church in the morning, it was kind of nice- helped remind us of the true meaning of Christmas.
When we got home from church, and we ate lunch, and we 'slowed' down. It was so fun to see how excited they were for everything.
It was so nice to be able to sit back and enjoy each other, to watch them, to see how they really loved to play with all their new stuff. It was nice and simple.
It was Perfect.
