So we had the awesome opportunity to have mom here for a whole week while Joseph was in China on business (more to come on that one) While she was here, she got Monkey a turtle for his birthday since she was leaving 2 days before the big day. Now, this boy generally speaking does NOT like stuffed animals enough to sleep with. He will rarely plays with him, but he know they are his and he is protective of them. But this turtle is his. He sleeps with this turtle. He loves this turtle.
Super cute.
As custom dictates, here is his decorated chair. This was his excited face. =)
This was a portion of 'the loot'. He loves Mickey Mouse, and he loves cars. Put them together, and oh. my. land. He was soooooo excited about it!
He also had been really into the movie "Despicable Me'. I found these cupcakes online,
How cute are they?
Needless to say, they were totally enthralled.
And then devoured.
=)
My Monkey is such a sweet little boy.
He refuses to potty train, yet he is so cute about it. He loves to snuggle. He especially loves his daddy. I am considered to be equal to chopped liver when daddy is around. He LOVES sports. Any and all sports. If it has a ball he loves it. He loves to watch it with daddy too. He is stubborn, but he is also a quick learner. He loves consistency and needs to be warned and slowly worked into change. He must sleep with the door cracked unless he is scared a cat might try to sleep with him, then it must be shut. He has discovered that his little brother is his best friend that brings the wild side out. He is tough as nails sometimes but he really is a teddy bear. He is a picky eater, but will eat wonderfully when the older ones are eating with him, or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on. He is trying to be so independent but is scared to grow up. He loves to sing our song together. He loves to sing in church now- it melts my heart. He loves to give me bear hugs that knock me over and then slobbery kisses all over my face. Everyday I wonder how I have been so blessed to have him as my Monkey, and that 3 short years ago he was trying climb my rib cage, and now he is climbing my lap. I love you indefinitely Monkey!
