when we walked up to it this was at the entrance- and joseph looks at me rather excitedly and says: "These are the desserts! which one do ya want?" and i just looked blankly back- i dont read spanish- i dont even speak it! i did understand chocolate and leche- but i was told they had different meanings... and American chocolate is different then Peruvian chocolate. that was sad for me.
one thing that joseph REALLY wanted me to eat while i was there was Aji de Gallina. so that was my first Peruvian meal.. and i have to say it was really rather delicious! its so hard to describe because we dont have those spices here- but it is great. 
this is it. the rice it has almost a lemon or lime tint to it, it is really refreshing! and that is a sauce of yumminess over potatoes with chicken and then walnuts in it. over top is parsley (a Peruvian parsley) and another unknown to me delicious spice! rather divine! it could definitely be a comfort food.
Joseph had this, i dont remember what it was called- what exactly was in it- but it was really good too! And if you look on top of the rice- you will see these little off-white things.... that is fresh hominy! SOOOOOO GOOD!
the for dessert Joseph ordered me Mozamorra Morada- because i fell in love with the drink- Chicha Morada (more on that later). but it was like a fruity rice pudding- really good!!!!
Joseph ordered Arroz con Leche Almendrado- and that is just like a rice pudding- but i dare say it was the best rice pudding i have ever eaten in my life! it was so rich and sweet and yet not over-whelming in anyway- it was divine!!! and yall need to remember these arent like anything you would find here in America because we dont have the spices- and we cook them so differently! it was truly an experience that i cant wait to replicate!
That night we walked ourselves little over a mile to the next restaurant for dinner- this one came highly recommended by some clients joseph has down there. the ambiance was great!!! they brought us our appetizer.....
it was to be eaten with fresh handmade rolls and biscuits. I didnt try most of that cuz it was warmer then i like to try and being prego- i didnt want to take chances...... then they brought me this salad..... it was HUGE!!!! but it was soooo good. everything was so fresh and you can tell they made that for the pregnant women at table 12. yummy!
these are our dishes.... i dont remember what they are- what is in them, or whose was whose- all i remember is that i was so full- i was sure joseph would have to roll me home, i dont even think i could have fit in a cab! it was exquisite!
on our way out- i noticed this room...... the walls were lined with vintage wines! now- i am sure that if i had been a wine drinker i would have appreciated this room much more then i did- i was still impressed though.
this was at the entrance- and i thought it was great! so i made joseph go and get in the picture so i actually had proof he was with me! haha- he hated pictures, but i have to say without him- it would not have been such a great picture! love ya babe!
and here is me, this is at the restaurant..... if you look close- you can see the belly! :) i am 23 weeks here.
well- this is FOREVER and i apologize- i will summarize the rest. they all wont be this long. :)
but i have to say this was the greatest vacation and i love to talk about it! i really cant wait to go back!
