so, when i had Z, the school district had kindergarten registration. since i had just had a baby, i missed it. so i had forgotten until just recently. so one fine may day, i was rushing to get the 3 boys in the car to get her shot record and then to get her registered before Z had to eat again. i got chunk and monkey in the car. and i went back to get the car seat, it was sitting about where that 'X' is. i stepped on the bottom step. but ya see how its not a full step, well, i had my foot along that crack, not perpendicular like- but horizontally. and so with the car seat in arm, i turned, and well with the weight of the car seat, and how i was standing on that 'step'. i went down. hard. and snap crackle and pop. i was down. but i very careful to put my sweet baby down.
i tried to get chunk to get out of the car to find my phone that was in the front seat, and well- he couldnt find it. so i then hopped from the stair to the car- only about 5 feet away- to call joe to take me to the hospital. i call cait to have her come babysit and momma to distract me. i watch my foot swell. i cant really feel it, and for that i am sooooooo grateful for. because i didnt want to cry. i couldnt cry. it would just freak out the babies. so i small talk till joey comes and we drive the 20minutes to the ER. they are slow. i really hate to say it, but the receptionist was rather.... scattered. it took about 15 minutes to get checked in, and then 15 more minutes for my x-rays. and i was rather sad, they dont do the xray sheets like they used to, its all digital. so i couldnt get pictures of my foot. its rather a good looking set of bones i got in there if i do say so my self. but here is my foots side view...
and here is the top view. where that buldge is, that is where my bone is fractured.
well-there you have it. that is my foot now. i am so not allowed to put any pressure on it. nothing goes on there. poor joey didnt need this. heck, i really didnt need it either, but oh well. i guess that i will try and find something to learn about myself while i sit here. i have an appointment on tuesday with the podiatrist to find out further care and treatment. i hope it will go by fast. i have lots i really have to do. not only what i have to do, but want to do.
joe is taking care of me. he is such a great guy. i am super lucky. is it so bad that i feel bad that i feel bad for everyone else. everyone only gets someone who is second best. =) but i guess that is the same way everyone thinks about their spouse. i think that is the way it should be though eh?
so i think most of you know that i have been blog hopping. craft blogs. they are really addicting. i love them. i want to be functional again so that way i can do all this stuff that i have in my head.
i also think i might start a blog to show my crafts. not that they are super amazing original ideas. they are pretty awesome for us, and they are copies of other genius peoples ideas.... i dunno, we'll see what happens. cuz i am kinda busy. so i dont know if i have the time to keep up another blog. i think that the main reason i have been able to update this one is cuz i am crippled.
chunk broke the vacuum. he wanted to see how it went together, and in the process of checking out all the pieces, he lost a fitting. so now the vacuum that will never loose suction, has lost its suction. *sigh* and i love to vacuum. now that is definitely not a possibility for me now.
jellybean is so sensitive. if i even raise my voice to scold her, she cries. its really bad when she is tired. and she is almost done with preschool. how crazy is that? she is getting so big, i hate that. but i love that she is so good. down to the core she is good. and she is so sensitive. and the best big sister i the whole wide world. and everyday, i pray that she and chunk stay the best of friends. they are going to need each other someday, and i hope that they are able keep that connection.
chunk is so big. he loves to color. and he loves dinosaurs. he can tell you about every transformer and what they do, and what they say in the movie even. but he can have quite the temper sometimes. but it doesnt happen too often only when he is tired. and when he is being a typical 4 year old boy. but he is a very thoughtful guy. he is always trying to help me with Z and he is so good at playing with monkey.
and what can i say about monkey besides the fact that boy can always make me smile. he is HILARIOUS!!!! and he gives the best loves. oh he is always trying to give loves to Z. i have to say, that for a 16 month old boy, he is super gentle. i can already tell that are going to be great friends. they way they already look at each other, and how Z tries to look at monkey and the way monkey 'shares' with Z it makes my heart melt.
well there is my rambling. i seem to do that often, but that is what helps us process things.
well- i m off- i have to go feed a baby.
night!

I'm so sorry JoAnne! That looks extremely painful! My husband slipped on some ice during Christmas time and sprained his ankle, but he was in so much pain and it was super bruised/swollen. That is so tough too especially with 4 kids, including an newborn! I wish I lived closer and could help out. I hope you have a swift recovery!
