Kids Rooms
so around the end of the summer, we are moving the kids around the house. everyone gets a different room. we are then hoping that everyone will be staying the room they are put in for a long time. and i am going to make her quilt/bed spread. and what is crazy- i want to make it. i am excited to make it! i cant wait to go find all the material, and make the pattern, and make it for her. i'm really looking forward to it. but i have to admit,
i am freaking out.
freaking. out.
i have sewn like one dress in my life. and my dearest mommy pretty much held my hand through the whole thing.
but besides all that, i really still want to make my baby girl her bed stuff.
(yes she is not a baby, but she will always be my baby girl)
anyway. i then will be making some for the boys. colors are still being thought of for them, but i think that i know exactly what to do for her. bright pink, with orange and purple. bright and happy. just like her.
yay!!!
it will be awesome.
i hope.
anyway- i just wanted to share.

my craftiness
So i have not been able to do my usual stuff- i had to find another outlet. i started looking at all these craft blogs. they are addicting!!!!! i LOVE them! and then the more i looked at the stuff, the more i realized that i can do that!!! me. being crafty! i have always said that i am a good copier of ideas, just not a good 'comer upper' of ideas. i saw this idea HERE and i decided to do it. and i have to say, it was EASY, it took a bit of time yes- but it wasnt too bad when i had to spend so much time in bed! i did find that the glue did NOT work for me. so i used the pins.....
Here is another view of them, what they look like from a distance. (sorry about the glowing white, i dont know how to edit on joey's laptop.... )
this is what it took, a roller cutter, fabric, and straight pins. for the little hearts i had to use sequins pins because they are thinner then the giant red hearts. the pink one is representing jellybean, and the other one hanging is chunk, the 1/2 finished one is monkey, while the dot squares is for baby.
i love them! they will be recieving a stand to stand on, so that they can be displayed, but that will be done next year. i also had made 2 two layered topiaries, they arent finished either, i got tired of looking at it. =) so to make the 4 little hearts, and the two 2 tiered topiaries, and 2 big hearts. it cost me $40- that was because i bought SO MUCH fabric! if i would have bought the correct amount of fabric (the little hearts took like 1/4 of a yard and i bought 2 i believe) it would have only cost me like $20-$25. not bad at all!
its time to move on to the next holiday......
St. Patricks Day!!!!!
so i got the idea for this wreath HERE .
all you need is the wreath, feather boas to cover, and hot glue!
put the hot glue on the wreath, add the boa, glue and wrap. glue and wrap! 5 minutes later.....
BAM! there is the wreath in bad lighting! =) i still have the word 'LUCKY' in white to add, and then the ribbon to hang it! all in all it cost me $15! yay me!
