i LOVE this time of year. i love thanksgiving, and christmas. i love snuggling up with a big blanket and a GINORMOUS mug of vanilla dark hot chocolate, and a good book. i love it. i love plannign what to give, and wrapping them, and delivering them..... i love how family comes. i dont think i will ever tire of having family come for the hoildays, the fact that they want to share it with us is very special to me.
my family- joe's sisters, are all coming here for christams and i could be more excited, not to mention how excited the kids are! i love how clint (bil) made the most FABULOUS turkey and gravy and the rolls from his better half- i think i am craving them now. and the desserts- well- lets say jessica and josh outdid themselves, but i think it is definately a repeat. :) i LOVE it! :) when i think of the meaning and the special effort that people put forth for everything, i just cant help but smile and get even more excited.
then i think back, about mine and joe's first christmas, it was great, and then we added jerra, and that was so special, i could only imagine what was going through mary's head as she held her special little boy, wondering what the Son of God's life would include. did she know how hard it would be for her? her family? or even him? did she know he was in such a hard place when He was suffering? i will never forget that Christmas, and how just holding my baby girl, so tiny and fragile, changed forever how i see the holidays, and especially the roll that Mary played. what a strong women. she is someone i would love to meet in heaven.
then the next year i was pregnant, and then there was claysen. and our small family. but i LOVED how i was able to always share part if not all with family. and i think just that, makes it more special. i wish i hadnt taken for granted all those years growing up and stuff, my parents always made it special and so did both sides of my family, and now the family is bigger and can be that much more special! :)
wow- pregnancy sure has made me sentimental and long winded! i have just been thinking about it since.... well- since the leaves started looking just a bit 'fallish'. :)
but now i wonder- what is your favorite holiday/season? why?

oh man i LOVE this time of year! i've been listening to christmas music since like early october haha. it's the compromise for me having to wait to put the tree up until after thanksgiving. haha. guess i'll survive that one :p i just love it all. i love how everyone is thinking about others for once, i love the weather, the quiet the snow creates, cuddling up, eggnog (pumpkin spice is way yummy!), and big meals. i love just being with family and my absolute favorite thing about christmas day is seeing little people get soooo excited about their gifts!
I couldn't possibly agree with you more! I love that indescribable feeling you get when the holidays come around. Family, food, and festivities. It really doesn't get better than this!
