Dancing

When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God as God abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.

i got this email- and suddenly i felt relaxed. i have been so aprehencive about this house and how i am beyond terrified that it won't get done and my husband will nearly kill himself trying. and i really just need to relax and trust Him. and trust my husband. i have never really doubted him before, this is definately not the time that he needs me doubting him.... so it will be ok. right? it will be ok. and that is all i am going to say on that. i will let Him and joseph dance their own dance. i think things will go better without me trying to cut in and change the dance and the beat at the same time when neither go together and neither want the dance changed. :) i think i feel better.
claysen bit THROUGH his lip on wednesday. yes through- yuck. poor kid. i wonder if he will live to be baptised. or heck just go to pre-school. he is such a tough little guy. the first day he was on straws and that was cool besides the fact he couldn't walk around with his cup and straw so he forced himself to use a sippy cup and now that is just fine. what a trooper.
he then went to his 18 month check up on thursday and he is 26 pounds and 33 inches tall. that puts him in the 40th and 90th percentiles resectively. what a big boy! :) he is sooo sweet.
something seems.... "outta whack" with jerra i really don't know what is going on. she seems sooooo down? it's weird. i thought that i would make homemade pizzas for dinner and that she could help me make the dough becasue she loves to help stir and cook adn stuff. and she would have nothing to do with me! it broke my heart! i tried everything i could think of to get her to come and help me and nope- she want to play in her room. :( so clasyen helped. it was fun but i was still super sad that she didn't want to come play yah know?
i wonder... do you think that after the war in heaven, some of the 1/3 that went with lucifer, have they ever regretted going with him? part of me hopes so, and then part of me hopes not.... juyst because i feel so bad for them. i have been reading the bible out loud to the kids- a chapter a day! and i was thinking about that. did i have a brother that my soul aches for, because he decided to go? an interesting thought. is there a bestfriend, a father, over there? it does though make me eaqually glad that i chose to come to earth to tried and tested. because i want to be the smooth stone and pure being that is possible. isn't great what we can become?
i think that the kids and i will make an apron for each of them. and one meal a week will be so the kids can help cook. that will be lots of fun! especially aftermy kitchen is done! yeah!
anyway- my laundry is finished- gotta go!

i hate thinking up titles for boring posts...

so just a little update- things are the same. well except for the fact that WE GOT OUR CARPET!!!! oh it is very exciting. so now we are in the process of moving out of claysens room into our own- and that is proving harder then expected. i really don't know why- but i spend so much time upstairs that to come down and get things done is harder then i had thought. oh well.
on saturday- joseph and i went out- out to order my kitchen. this was very exciting for me- oh it won't be in for awhile- but it is in the process. :) now if only i could get him motivated for the bathrooms. that would be ideal. also this weekend he put in part if my pantry and closet. :) life is great.
i think that is about it- oh wait- my cats are vicious little beasts! we found 4 frogs in our house. dead. the cats think they are fun to play with. poor frogs. i have almost stepped on them! poor me. *shudder*
well- that about does it here-
here are some pics that will make this post worth reading!

are they not just the cutest?

Marketable Talents....or lack thereof

so my mom and sister are talking about starting an online buiness together with these little cute winderful craft thingies- so i was thinking that i would enjoy doing something like that. so i began to think... trying to figure out what i could do to contribute. so i thought. and thought some more. nothing came to me. i thought surely there must be something that i could do! so i talked to diana about it.... yea we came up with nothing. how sad is that. i have no marketable skills. i can arrange flowers- but not online. sad day. everything that i could think of- it wasn't internet suitable. it made me feel rather talentless. *sigh* oh well. there has got to be one in every family right? i guess i will be that one. we did decide that i like to read. that is great- but i can't make any money doing that. partly because i really only prefer to read christian things- preferably LDS. just so i don't have to worry about all the smut out there ya know? if it swears- i put it down- if it's 'naughty' - same thing. so it really limits me, but i really don't care. oh well.

so things have calmed back down for awhile- thank heavens. jerra and claysen have recovered- therefore i am much happier. it was really sad though- joseph had to leave the thursday right after we got home- he had a huge buisness trip, very important. he is so tired of having to be on the road and without his family. it feels good that he misses me :) a selfish thing to say, but true. and how would it be if i didn't feel that way?

jerra is talking so much now. it's really cute. yesterday morning and this morning she asked if they could take a bath. this morning it was: "ma- clay mess, take ba plee?" it was so cute! how could you say no to that? so they took a bath- very nice for me, i was able to get ready with limited interruptions. :)

i think that claysen has decided that he will be more of a 2-year old. he is the screaming, hitting tantrum thrower. no good. time-out hasn't really worked with him either. it is too much of a game. hmmmmm. this will be interesting. jerra hated time-out. still does. now i need to try and figure out what to do with him....

OH! my sister-in-law had her baby!!!! Rachel had little Issaac Emerson Whipple on Saturday aug 25 at 7:23 pm he was 7 pounds and 8.5 ounces. he is such a beautiful baby!

look at all his hair! crazy! anyway- i love the idea of birth. and especially right now- because i am soo happy to say that i am not pregnant and will not be anytime soon. :) i just really couldn't handle one right now.
and carpet is being installed on thursday. i am sooooooooooo stinkin excited! now that i know how to put pictures up- i will! yeah for carpet!
one of my cats brought me a HUGE dead frog this morning. yuck. sweet? yuck. *shudder* i had to clean it up. yuck again.
well- that is about it-
loves!

My Papa

my grandfather died this morning. it was so heart wrenching. i recieved a phone call last night and was told he was having troubles breathing... that it wouldn't be long. and it all hit me. when i fly back, everything wont be the same. everyone will not have just gotten older- he will not be there. and then i started to cry and sobbed. and i couldn't stop.
it was so awful. i just cried and cried. aching for my dad, for his siblings, for his wife. and then i prayed. i prayed for peace- and it came. the ache lessened and i knew it would be ok. because i also knew that i could see him again. i knew that he was with our Heavenly Father, and he would be there in the cheering section for me. he is wise and kind.
one time when he was in WW2- when he got his rations and since they came with 'smokes' he would throw his over board. and as his friends questioned him about it, he told them that he would give them something like that that could kill them. if he wouldn't take it or use it how could he give it away. some thought that was awful and selfish- but i think that it was soo great. what an example. :)
i am so thankful for him and his little ryhms and poems, his little sketches and his re-assuring smile. he was a good man here on earth and he is an even better man in heaven with his Father, Brother, and family.

My boy

So Claysen got hurt today- gash in the head- blood on the carpet and he turn blue screaming hurt. it was awful. and i have to say that i am so grateful for and all loving Heavenly Father that watches out for me.

claysen cut his head open. not bad really- we just super glued it shut, and put a band-aide on it. yes super glue- all the nurses that we talked to said that since it wasn't super deep they would have done the same thing, except that it would have cost us a whole lot more. anyway- i knew that he couldn't die from it- but oi- i was so worried about him. i was so shaky and worried that i ate like a row and a half of chewy chips ahoy. yummy- but not healthy. i then discovered that i am an emotional eater. well, yes i have known it for awhile it just really hit me when joseph asked where all the cookies went and i had to point to my tummy. :/ oh well. i will just park farther away from the doors.

back to my drama. it was then when i was holding a paper towel to his head that i felt sooooo helpless and alone. i said a prayer and i was peaceful. just like magic. i was still apprihensive- but i knew everything would be ok. and he is fine. :)

afterwards i was planning on sitting on my couch and eating and my dearest newest friend came up my stairs. it was just what i needed. we talked she helped me relax. all was well. thank you Father.

so now it is monday- that was on friday.

it's raining. :\ yeah! i have to say that because in so many other places they are in a major draught and we are being blessed with a break from out drought.

joseph has gotten a lot done on our house. the mudroom is pretty good- all enclosed but like 1 spot and almost completely drywalled. :) he is an amazing man. i sometimes wonder how i am so blessed to have such a great guy. he does have his faults- he is forgetful, if it doesn't have anything to do with him then he can't remember it. drives me nuts. but for the most part he is so great. it makes me wonder and almost sad for some that don't have this. the love and support. i know they get love from others, but it's not the same. and i wonder how those you don't appriciate it can have it. i pray that i never take joseph for granted- i know i do and he does me, but it isn't ever for long. i am just so grateful that we have eachother.

well- i think that my daughter is demanding attention- i need to go keep her out of trouble. :) i truly am blessed by life. i am so grateful for my eternal family and the fact that i can be with them after we die, that my kids will be mine forever. how happy i am for that. i full if gratitiude for the love my Father in Heaven shows me daily, through my children, and family and friends. i guess i am all happy today and for no particular reason.... :)

Daddy Daughter Date

so i think i could cry.
my husband went on a date with the cutest girl i have ever seen. there was no jealousy, no contention. in fact i help this girl get ready. the only thing i felt was pure excitment and happiness and joy as i watched this couple go hand in hand to the movie, Surfs Up. her denim and orange skirt with matching jacket... it could not have looked better on anyone. my little angel has gone on her first daddy daughter date. :)
i have always remembered my dates with my dad. even if it was just icecream it was still great and it made me feel so special.
well, tonight joseph asked if she wanted to go on a date with daddy. and her little eyes started to sparkle. as i was doing her hair all pretty for daddy, she was soooo excited and she made him look at her and tell her how cute she was. and when we picked out her little outfit she went and made sure that he thought it was cute.
as we waved bye out the window i watched as she gripped her daddys hand and waved with her whole body and blew us kisses with every ounce of her body, and skipped off to the movies with her daddy in tow. i think that i have never been happier with my husband dating another person. :)
